HASSELL HARBOUR BRIDGE
NEWS SHEET UPDATE
20/09/11
.
Well Telford has come and gone, another year a few more kits and bits and pieces.
We even have a Helijan Class 55 (Deltic) now running on the layout very nice it is to.
I was very tempted to get on myself but Derek beat me to it, we may have two by the end of the year!
A lot of detailing has been added to the layout, new grassy areas revamped, more animals, figures, even a Heron by the river and also new trees all of which have improved the layout.
The next cameo is a car being worked on in the Garage by a welder.
There is also talk of a radio controlled lorry being produced that will drive over the level crossing and into the front of the Pub.
An interesting article on the RM web Radio controlled road vehicle, looks good Phil and myself are getting details to try and get one built.
Iain and Richard have modified the Colliery track layout by the coal loading building to make it easier to operate (watch this space); also the control panel has been altered too.
Mick and Pete are progressing with the narrow gauge track that runs from the Colliery to the Canal to unload Colliery waste and Coal.
Kevin has installed the lights on the Station that Phil made and is making 3 new ones to fix onto the Station building.
The lights have been made to lock on and off the Colliery boards without the need of separate nuts and bolts, which will save us a lot of time.
We are now looking at the front lights to do the same but these require a bit more design to make them work.
So we can see a lot of work being done on the layout to bring it up to a good standard.

NEXT EXHIBITION IS AT SPALDING, NOV 12/13th
 setting up Friday 11th.
